1. How does it feel to be sponsoring the Good Retail Awards 2023 and why is it such a significant date in the retail calendar?

The retail industry has experienced a difficult trading period with the macroeconomic factors impacting on consumer demand. Despite this as an industry we have seen great resilience and continued innovation. The Good Retail Awards 2023 is a great opportunity to meet industry colleagues and recognise some individual achievements.

2. Which retail trends have you seen emerge in 2022?

Some of the top trends emerging in 2022 include a return to retail stores, continued adoption of technology to enhance the omnichannel customer experience, increased focus on cost control and more focus on increasing customer loyalty due to higher customer acquisition costs.

3. What are you looking forward to seeing from the Good Retail Awards entries?

We’re looking forward to seeing innovative retailers combined with a focus on improving the customer experience.

4. Tell us more about your outlook for the retail industry in 2023

2023 will continue to be a challenging period for the retail industry. Retailers will need to control costs to offset a decline in consumer demand. Increased competition for available consumer spend will lead to higher consumer expectations around price discounting and an enhanced eCommerce experience. Retailers will need to take more control of the post purchase experience to increase brand loyalty and drive increased revenue.
