Meet sustainability-focussed pop-up, 00.thestore

00.thestore

A second festive edition of the sustainability-focussed pop-up, 00.thestore, is coming to Conduit Street, just off Regent Street, London on Monday 14 November 2022, bringing together a curation of 85 of the most cutting-edge planet-conscious brands this holiday season.

It’s estimated that 23 million unwanted gifts are destined for landfill at Christmas, with the average person receiving 2 unwanted presents. 00.thestore is helping to shift the narrative around festive gifting and instead champion brands and products that are uniquely positioned to serve as thoughtful gifts, forever gifts or gifts actively objecting to the status quo of marketing and promoting a sustainable lifestyle beyond the holiday season.

The pop-up will host a wide selection of the most exciting, industry-leading, innovative and established brands confirmed to be featured in-store with us who are all championing sustainability. Most of them are already featured in high-end retailers such as Liberty’s, Selfridges and Harrods. Some of them to name a few: Chilly’s, House of Sunny, Wild, Daye, Lomi, Aarke, SowVital, SURI, Birdsong, Damson Madder, Kloris, MAIUM and Roam.

Sustainable Saturday

As an antidote to Black Friday, 00.thestore are hosting Sustainable Saturday on Saturday 26th November, by partnering with bodo to create an online platform. This will feature all products in store to leverage conversations around Black Friday and encourage customers to opt for more planet-friendly choices. For those who can’t make it down to the space, customers will be able to shop the store’s offering online, and bodo will fulfil their order via their eco-friendly delivery service – on demand, the same day, from the store.

Alongside the traditional retail offering, 00.thestore will host a range of workshops and panel discussions in the afternoons with leading industry experts from the sustainability space, as well as activists and influential social media personalities. They aim to start a positive dialogue around sustainability and our collective role in preserving natural resources by showcasing ‘good for the planet’ products and providing more knowledge on global issues of waste, overproduction and excessive consumerism. Brands will also host their own events such as:

  • Mindfulness Morning with Rain CBD
  • Make your own terrarium with London Terrarium
  • Plant Repotting Workshop with SowVital
  • B-Curious – an informative evening with the B-Corp team on how to start the verification journey

The space has been designed in collaboration with renowned designer, Yoshi Takagi, Design Director at Monocle and Head of Brand Design at MOO, to bring their vision to life instore. He is curating a select cohort of international product and furniture designers, some award-winning – most recently at London Design Festival, to assemble the store’s interior and visual identity – all to make up the showroom.

“After the success of the first 00.thestore pop-up earlier this year, we’re back for a second time with a focus on mindful gifting this festive season. In an ever-confusing world for consumers, 00.thestore provides a trusted environment for shoppers to feel confident that the items they chose are good for the planet. We’re really excited to be hosting such a large number of responsible brands in one place to make it as easy as possible for people to invest in conscious items for themselves and loved ones!” said Zora Feraji, Founder 00.thestore.
