XCCommerce Appoints Industry Veteran Robin Coles as EMEA MD, as It Eyes European Expansion

XCCommerce

Former Director at Inovretail and BT Expedite joins cross-channel promotions specialist, XCCommerce

XCCommerce, the leading omni-channel promotion solutions provider, today announced the opening of a new office in the United Kingdom, which will become the headquarters for operations across Britain and mainland Europe.

Heading up expansion into this region will be former Director at Inovretail and Director of Supply Chain Consulting at BT Expedite, Robin Coles.  With thirty-five years’ experience in businesses that have delivered and built diverse tech solutions for the retail industry, spanning supply chain to customer service, and pricing and promotions, Coles will collaborate with XCCommerce’s Canadian HQ in Montreal to grow the company’s customer base across these markets.

XCCommerce has 20 years expertise delivering promotion and coupon solutions to leading North American retailers, in verticals ranging from fashion and apparel, grocery and convenience to pharmacy and gifting, with clients including Lane BryantLa SenzaIndigoShoppers Drug Mart and Metro Inc. Its products support retailers’ omni-channel initiatives by providing an integrated platform with full function applications that enable the set-up, maintenance, and execution of complex promotions across all channels and customer touchpoints.

With covid-19 continuing to impact global shopping behaviours, delivering a cohesive customer experience across channels and at all points of purchase is crucial for retailers looking to drive revenue and customer loyalty, explains Rodney McBrien, Chief Executive Officer, XCCommerce:

“Covid-19 has dispersed consumers across channels as they navigate a constantly changing shopping environment while, at the same time, the long-term economic uncertainty caused by the pandemic has made consumers increasingly sensitive to pricing and promotions.  And this requires a more intelligent approach to promotions management if retailers are to convert diverse and dispersed inventories to cash faster and, crucially, more profitably, whilst also driving customer loyalty.”

“Bringing Robin on board demonstrates our ambition for this region and our belief in the opportunities it presents as retailers in the UK and Europe realise how technology can enable them to deliver consistent and well thought out omni-channel promotions, that promote customer loyalty all whilst protecting margins.”

Coles added: “The UK and European markets present enormous opportunities for XCCommerce as leading retailers recognise that they need a different approach to managing promotions.  One that, with the help of real-time automation, releases the marketing and trading teams from their technical shackles and allows them to implement cross-channel promotions at the speed of thought.”
