From having an opinion on what makes a successful shop, to how they should be run, who should be employed and the stock instore, there will be countless people looking to guide you in business. It is important to make sure you are not swayed by others’ ideas and stay true to the vision you have for your own business.

Know your own objectives and preferences and stick to these. Once you have decided what you would like your USP to be, make sure you continue to implement your plan and avoid becoming sidetracked by others’ opinions. While advice can be helpful, people will offer so many conflicting opinions that you must follow your business plan and gut feeling.
