The Good Retail Awards 2020 are about celebrating retailers making a positive impact in our industry, and having studied the vast number of high-quality entries we received for this year’s Good Retail Awards, Modern Retail and Spring Fair are delighted to see so many retailers achieving great things in their businesses this year!

Official Shortlist Announced!

Modern Retail and Spring Fair are delighted to announce the official shortlist for the Good Retail Awards 2020! Winners will be announced at Spring Fair on Tuesday 4th February 2020. Best of luck to all those on the shortlist, and thanks to all our entrants for taking the time out to apply.

Hosted at Spring Fair 2020

The Awards are completely free to enter and will be judged in mid-January ahead of the awards ceremony at Spring Fair on 4th February 2020. Winners will receive industry recognition, a trophy, and a huge amount of positive PR across Modern Retail, Spring Fair, our social media channels and the wider retail industry.

We’ve designed the entry process to be as straightforward as possible – a simple online form to get things started, followed by a call with one of our team to clarify a few details about your entry if necessary.

CATEGORIES

Sustainability Initiative Award

This award recognises retailers that have successfully implemented sustainability initiatives within their business. These may include some of the below: 

  • Material or packaging substitution
  • Reducing carbon footprint
  • Working towards a circular economy
  • Encouraging staff to recycle, reduce and reuse
  • Localised sourcing 

Instore Creativity Award

This award recognises retailers who have implemented an instore design that delivers a stand-out customer experience. It will focus on retailers who have used innovation to drive more customers into their store and increase customer satisfaction. The winner of this award will have reinvented the traditional meaning of a retail store to connect with their customers. 

Community Award

The Community Award is open to retailers who have made an effort to give back to their community. It honours companies who have gone above and beyond to transform and enhance the lives of others. Retailers shortlisted for this award will be able to demonstrate how they have made an impact and show the results they have delivered.  

Bricks ā€˜nā€™ Clicks Award

The Bricks ā€˜nā€™ Clicks Award recognises retailers who have utilised both online and offline channels to create a seamless customer experience. Retailers shortlisted for this category will recognise the importance of integrating all of their customer-facing platforms, both physical and digital, into a true omnichannel offering.

Digital Impact Award 

This award is open to retailers who are using the digital space to create engaging and innovative marketing campaigns. It will include retailers making a strong impact anywhere in the digital space including on their website, via email marketing and across social media.

Retail District Award 

The Retail District Award is open to any retail area producing innovative campaigns and exciting customer-centric initiatives to create a buzz around the retail stores in their area. Entrants for this award may include:

  • High streets, 
  • Shopping centres, 
  • Retail parks, 
  • Business Improvement Districts,
  • Local chambers of commerce
