British heritage department store Fortnum & Mason on Piccadilly in St James’s, London, started 2021 with ‘Make Joy’ by inviting some of London’s leading set designers and providing them with a unique space in their iconic windows. Celebrating some of the incredible talent behind the scenes and doing what they do best by spreading the power of creativity, the early days of window dressing at the turn of last century were inspired by set designers and stores brought them into the retail arena to display goods and entertain customers, this still rings true today.
