This week’s piece of Wednesday wisdom comes from philosopher Henry David Thoreau, focusing on the importance of progression.
“Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it.” – Henry David Thoreau
Do not be disheartened by having little evident progress. If you become too fixated on set achievements, you may be putting yourself at a disadvantage and slowing down your progress.
Those who grow the most successful retail businesses are often those who do not slow down and continue to work at the same intensity, giving them a head start against competitors. Continuous work means that even when some business decisions do not pay off, others will prove successful and you will be able to benefit from these.
Have a vision and focus on the bigger picture, not becoming caught up on smaller details and instead looking to the overall goal and continuing to develop and adapt to reach this.
