For instance, last year we introduced an autonomous floor scrubber dryer range to the UK in collaboration with our partner, Metabots. The first model, the META-SCRUB 60, is designed specifically for large areas such as retail spaces.

Equipped with advanced sensors and AI, the META-SCRUB 60 is engineered to deliver an optimal clean with ease of operation, making it ideal for floorcare in expansive retail areas. 

This robot offers a premium finish comparable to other top-tier floor care solutions but with the added benefit of dealing with the work-heavy task of expansive floor cleaning. It features attachments for scrubbing, mopping, sweeping, polishing, and drying. It can detect objects as small as 5 cm, has dynamic obstacle avoidance, and a zero-degree turning circle to manoeuvre through tight spaces. Additionally, it can dispose of wastewater and refill with clean water from its integrated charging station.

The META-SCRUB 60 can be programmed to clean during off-hours, allowing for continuous floor care without disrupting customers and reducing the need for costly night shifts.

Building on the success of the META-SCRUB 60, we recently developed the META-SCRUB 45 – a smaller, more agile model designed for intricate and confined spaces. While the META-SCRUB 60 efficiently handles larger areas, the META-SCRUB 45 excels in navigating aisles and reaching tighter spots that larger machines cannot access. This versatility enables it to complement the larger models, enhancing overall cleaning efficiency in retail environments.

Choosing the right option

When selecting a cobotic cleaning machine for retail environments, it’s essential to consider features such as precision navigation, advanced obstacle avoidance, and the ability to clean close to edges and detect small objects.

Machines with a minimal turn radius are particularly valuable to clean around merchandise without causing damage. Look for advanced smart sensors to further enhance safety by enabling the machine to navigate around the many obstacles commonly found in busy stores. Features like autonomous wastewater disposal and freshwater refilling, as seen in the META-SCRUB series, can also significantly enhance efficiency and reduce the need for manual intervention.
